Delightfully tangy Pinot Grigio will stand on it's own as an aperitif, or pair nicely with salads and seafood.Dry, crisp, nice balance of acid and sugar at harvest from The Evergreen Vineyard. Subtle citrus, and pear aromas, tangy but not bitter. Pair with salads, seafood or pork.

With bright aromas of citrus and green apple softened slightly by a waft of pear it smells like an orchard on a crisp morning. That invigorating image isn't lost on the palate as nice acidity on the approach and finish is nuanced in-between by a smooth mid-palate. Enjoy grapefruit, citrus, and anjou pear with hints of nutmeg followed by a pleasant stone minerality. This wine is an excellent refresher while remaining perfect to pair with a green salad topped with just about anything.

The 2011 vintage was a challenge for much of Washington State. A late spring and cool summer closed with a cool damp fall. A recipe for disaster unless you're an ex sparking producer like myself. I saw it as an opportunity to make light, lively, and sophisticated white wines like this Pinot Gris.
